Stitch Fix Review February 2015

If you haven't heard of the phenomenon that is Stitch Fix....

Stitch Fix is a styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences (I went on the lowest end of the pricing scale of course), and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month, bi -weekly, every other month, you choose. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total.

If you keep all five items, you also get an additional 25% discount!

First up, Adara Sherpa Denim Jacket by Mavi. Love it. Love it. But, my daughter pulled it out of the box and thought it was for her little brother? I'm 98% sure I had this same jacket in high school XX years ago?

Vallerie Multi Stripe Scarf by Octavia. I'm a scarf girl, but I have a ton. I didn't scream "love" when I saw it, but it's so soft, bright and a great piece for spring.

Denna Skinny Jeans by Kut from the Kloth. These fit, they really fit. Super shocked they fit! I won't lie, I love "mom jeans", high waisted goodness to cover my warrior tiger strips (ie stretch marks). These are not "mom jeans" but still do their job well.  I didn't get a good photo because you've seen jeans before, didn't want to bore you.

Sam Hi-Low Short Sleeve Tee. This tee is soft and the material is more of a thin sweater than tee material. I have more gray shirts than I need, so back it will go.

Last but not least, Zappo Printed Mixed Material Sweater by 41Hawthorn. It's a thin sweater material through the arms and back and the front is somewhat sheer chiffon? This one is very difficult for me to make a decision about. Opposite of the jacket, my daughter thought this was something her grandmothers would wear (whom are both very stylish BTW, so not a huge problem). Maybe if I wear the sweater with the jacket I'll average my age!?

....and ignore the leggings, I know leggings are not pants.

All in all I'm pleased with my first fix. Stitch Fix is good for my in-decisive clothing shopping habits . I usually end up buying and returning most everything I purchase that's not a black tee and the same brand of jeans I've worn forever. If anything it helps me think outside my box and try things I'd never try on in a store setting.
Honestly it was pricier than I'd like and not something I can do every month. I'm giving a try next, they seem to have a lower price point. I'll let you know how that goes soon!

If you'd like to check out Stitch Fix pop over here- Stitch Fix  FYI, you (and I) will score $25.00 in credit when friends receive their first Fix if you sign up and share your link.
